I considered briefly taking a shot of my son with his first bloody nose but then it started pouring out of both nostrils and I panicked lol.

LOL. Yeah . . I remember those days. BTW, yes I did get an 1100DX Janome and love it. No problems whatsoever and easy to use. I say easy, because I'm mechanically inclined, but everything is color coded for threading and it really is no worse than a regular machine - just more threads.
